Nina M. Ritter

	Nina M. Ritter, 86, of DuQuoin, passed away at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2000 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
	Nina was a retired cook from the J.B. Ward School in DuQuoin after 31 years of service.  She was of the Protestant faith.
	She was born March 18, 1914 at Hallidayboro, the daughter of Owen Wiley and Myrtle (Crousin) Murphy.  She married John Ritter in 1931 at Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on December 26, 1975.
	She is survived by four sons, Donald D. Ritter of Geneso, John Fred Ritter of Texas, Jerry D. Ritter of New Athens and Robert Ritter of DuQuoin; a grandson whom she raised, Charles E. Ritter of DuQuoin; a sister, Allene Johnson of Florida; a brother, Wiley Murphy of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one grandson, John Ritter.
	Graveside services were Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin with Rev.Paul Ritter officiating.
	Those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
	The Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
	Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
